The changing face of hydroxy acids

In-Person Session

While experiencing incredible popularity in the 70s when hydroxy acids were considered the leading skin renewal “elixir-of-youth”, in more recent years hydroxy acids were superseded by the gentler exfoliation approach of enzymatic peels and even mechanical modalities, such as microdermabrasion. Over the past decade, there has been a trend away from hydroxy acids because of the indiscriminative way they exfoliate the skin, making them aggressive for some skin types.

Now, new scientific breakthroughs have identified ways of enhancing and elevating hydroxy acids through more robust formulations with greater safety, while raising their skin rejuvenation capabilities to even higher levels.

To expand on these new advances, Sarah Hughes will present the chemical changes of the new generation Hydroxy Acids formulations and how to effectively use them within your treatment protocols to achieve exceptional treatment outcomes.
